Here’s a look at all the races I’ve run and photos from all the ones that I can put up!
1) Frederick 5k (5/7/11)
My first race! I ran it with my dad on his birthday!
2) Donut Dash (09/11)
This 5k has multiple donut eating stops, each donut you eat takes a minute off your time! I ran into one of my drumline friends Nikki at this race!
3) Marine Corps Marathon (10/30/11)
I jumped straight from 5k’s to a marathon! This was my first marathon and I completed it despite micro-fracturing my right foot somewhere around mile 20. I was on track to finish in 4:45, unfortunately with the foot injury and making the rookie mistake of stopping to use a port-a-potty I finished in 5:53. It was an amazing race and I can’t wait to do it again!
4) Marine Corps Historic Half Marathon (5/20/12)
This was a gorgeous race and despite “Hospital Hill” and making the bathroom rookie mistake again I still managed to beat my goal of 2:30 by finishing in 2:23:52
5) EC10K (7/1/12)
My dad and I ran this brutally hot 10k together in the midst of the East Coast power outage.
6) Tough Mudder Austin (10/7/12)
I completed my first Tough Mudder entirely solo and I was totally hooked. I am so in love with this race – it has a great charitable cause, awesome obstacles, and beer at the end! I finished the race in roughly 2:45.
7) SDF Race (11/23/12)
This slightly less than 5k race is for a great cause in my hometown area and I ran it with my dad and my brother. It was brutally cold but very fun!
8) Hot Chocolate 5k (2/9/13)
I ran this awesome race with my friend Chelsea in Dallas. We had a great time and got delicious hot chocolate and little fondue containers afterwards. It was a delicious after race party.
9) Bearathon 5k (3/23/13)
After arriving back at Baylor from a regional tour at 5:30am, I managed to get to the starting line by 8am. I ran my fastest race 5k ever at 27:28.
10) Color Run Dallas (4/6/13)
While the Color Run concept is fun, my friend Sean and I spent the whole race weaving and accidentally elbowing people to work up a sweat and actually run. We played more with the color at the end than while we were actually racing.
11) Austin 10/20 (4/14/13)
This uniquely Austin race is a 10 mile race with 20 live bands, each one every half mile. It was a great race, even though I’m convinced it was uphill the whole way, I still finished in 1:36:31 and I can’t complain!
12) Hunstville Half (10/19/2013)
The only photo I have from the Huntsville Half is this selfie! The race was really small so the adrenaline was lacking but I still ran a PR of 2:13!
13) Surfin’ Snowman 2 miler (12/28/13)
My dad, brother, and I ran this post Christmas 2 miler at Bethany Beach and it was really fun. My brother placed 3rd overall while my dad and I both won our age groups! The race was actually about 2.3 miles and I finished 18th overall in 19:23.
